The story of Ariel begins with our founder. Slava is Latvian-born and raised, arriving in the USA in 1994 at 19 years old to pursue the American dream. He went West, spending his days rafting, hiking, and climbing, before returning to his port of entry, and settling in the rapidly developing New York City.
Quickly recognized for his punctuality and efficiency — a second nature to most Latvians — he was offered a job and worked five years in a logistics company, organizing the transportation of highly confidential financial and proxy reports throughout Eastern America for large corporations and notable clients.
In the late 1990’s, the economy was on the rise, more people were moving, and many companies entered the market to meet the demand. Slava discovered the degradation in quality offered by various pop-up moving companies which delivered sub-par service, blatantly scamming clients and posing as credible companies who operated fly-by-night schemes. Seeing the gap between quality work and the demand for it, he decided to meet the high expectations that the market was looking for.
In 2000, with the new century, Ariel Moving & Storage was born.
Since then, we have been proud to maintain our flawless record of service and reputation for a seamless, efficient, and stress-free moving experience for each of our clients. Slava stays true to his original company model, personally executing all estimates and consultations, taking all business calls, and keeping customer communication solely with him, never delegating to a call center nor an assistant. Employing his years of trade acumen and a team of time-tested, professional movers, he ensures each job receives the signature care we guarantee.
Above all, we are proud of the long lasting relationships built through years of working with clients who continue to trust Ariel with their moving projects over the decades. We have made family friends and lasting relationships. We’ve seen our clients' children grow up, and have moved them out of the nest to start homes of their own.
